Neighbourhood Management
What does the Neighbourhood Management Team do?
The Neighbourhood Management Team provide our front-line housing service.
They deal with a range of issues, including:
- advising you on tenancy issues
- dealing with problems or disputes between neighbours
- permits for alterations or improvements to your home
- resident involvement and roadshows.
Our aim is to provide a responsive and pro-active service to residents, work in close partnership with residents and other agencies to improve the environment on our estates and to help create safer, more sustainable communities. We will also work to protect the investment being made by Three Valleys Housing in making improvements to its homes.
What do I do if I have a problem with a neighbour?
If you encounter a problem with a neighbour we suggest that you speak to them first. Many issues can be resolved in this way and your neighbour may feel aggrieved if you did not speak to them to try to resolve the situation before contacting us. We recommend that you only speak to your neighbour if it is safe to do so. If you have any concerns please speak to us first.
We ask you to put any complaints about neighbours in writing, unless you are unable to do so or unless very urgent action is required. Complaints should include your name, address and contact telephone number. Keeping a diary is an excellent way of doing this and we can provide diary sheets on request.
Obtaining Consents
Residents are reminded that this is a condition of your tenancy agreement to obtain our written consent before:
- Making any additions, improvements or alterations to their home.
- Making any business use of the premises.
- Keeping more than one cat and/or one dog at the premises.
Unless you are unable to do so we ask that all consent requests are made in writing giving full details of the proposed work or activity you wish to carry out or the pets that you wish to keep. If you need any help or guidance please feel free to talk to us beforehand.
I would like to talk to someone about my problem or enquiry.
If you would like to discuss an issue please feel free to call us on 0844 770 3500. Alternatively, you can send us an email.
