Our Services

Carelink

The Carelink Service provides a caring service 24 hours, 365 days a year. You can call for help at the press of a button any time of the day or night, throughout the year.

The service provides a 24-hour emergency contact with the Carelink Control Centre, from where emergency help can be summoned. This service is available to residents living both within and outside the Borough of Erewash.

What is the Carelink Service?

We monitor and support:

  • Older and/or vulnerable people
  • Patients discharged from hospital who require care at home
  • People with disabilities
  • People within their own homes who require support to prevent a return to hospital
  • People suffering from racial harassment or domestic violence
  • Witnesses who require protection during court cases.

We also provide an out-of-hours emergency call service.

The Carelink Service provides a rapid response, helping people to stay independent.

Many people choose to live alone, but they often worry about accidents or the need for help in the home. Special Carelink equipment gives you the freedom to live independently, and the security of knowing that whether you are young or old, in good or bad health you can always get help when you need it.

Your call will be answered by one of our trained operators who will ensure that you receive the help you need straight away. In an emergency we can also call upon the Carelink's team of Community Carelink Officers who will respond immediately if an operator cannot reach any of your named contacts (Erewash area only).

Who is the Service for?

We support residents living in Three Valleys Housing's sheltered housing, such as bungalows and some of our flats. In addition, people living in their own homes are eligible for the support offered by the service. There are over 1800 people living within Derbyshire who receive our services along with over 6000 tenants of other registered social landlords and trusts living in the East Midlands, West Midlands and Lancashire.

Telecare Services Association accreditation

The Telecare Services Association is the representative body for the telecare industry within the UK.

In September 2003 the Carelink Centre achieved national recognition as a 'Centre of Excellence' by accreditation as a recognised alarm service provider. Three Valleys Carelink is a member of the Telecare Services Association and was awarded full compliance of the new Code of Practice.

How much does it cost?
