Advice for Jobseekers
The job market is very competitive and it will help your application if you follow these 3 simple steps:
- Complete all parts of your application form. CVs are not accepted (unless specified).
- The most important part of the application form is the Statement of Application. With your application form you will receive a role template (job description) and also a list of the skills you must have to be eligible for this role. Use this information to write your statement of application. The aim is to match as many of the required skills with skills you have - address each point individually, giving evidence of how you "fit the bill" on each point.
- Make sure you check your application thoroughly. Ensure your spelling and grammar are correct and your handwriting is legible. It is well worth taking a copy of the form and completing a rough copy first.
